To fill the mill:
Hold the plastic mechanism from underneath with one hand the entire time to prevent the contents from emptying out the bottom.
Then gently pull out the bamboo stick with the other hand, being careful that the spring does not pop out.
Remove in order, the washer with the notches, then the spring with the thin plastic washer and finally the lid.
Fill with the new herbs and replace the parts in the reverse order of disassembly.
Use the bamboo stick to put pressure on the spring and make it pass through the hole provided for this purpose.
Be careful to position the notches of the washer facing the hole of the mechanism.
